Stand Out to your Boss

Part of working your way to the top in a company is standing out to your direct supervisor and to the boss of the company. They are constantly evaluating those people that are doing the best under them in order to see who is earning the shot to move up and get promoted.

If you want that promotion and all of the great perks that come along with it, you have to make sure you are being noticed in a positive way. Start with your direct supervisor and make sure he sees the work that you are doing and the effectiveness of the work. Don't seem like a suck up, though, just let them take notice of the work that is done.

When you stand out, the chances of getting the promotion rise dramatically because you are the one that the higher ups are taking notice of. You are the one getting things done and doing the best of your ability all of the time.
