What to do at a Job Interview

Job interviews are the most important part of the job search, naturally, because it is the first impression and it gives the employer a great idea of who you are and what you can do to benefit the company. What you do at the job interview will dictate if you get the job and following certain 'etiquette' could take you a long way.

When you first walk into a company and meet with the managing personnel who will conduct the interview, you want to greet them with a firm handshake and eye contact. It's a sign of mutual respect and it starts off the interview process great. The actual interview requires a bit more focus so as you don't do certain things.

Talk confidently and keep your posture straight to show that you are confident in your ability, but not cocky. The eye contact should remain throughout the interview, as well. You're talking to the interview conductor, not the floor or the walls.
