Me Time

Okay, let’s set up the scenario. The two of you have been dating for a little over 3 months now. You spend every waking moment (literally) with him. You’ve been blowing off your friends for quite some time now. Wait, are they still your friends? We sure hope so! When you’re in a relationship you tend to neglect the other, important relationships in your life. This is almost always your friendships. Maintaining your friendships is an important part of keeping pieces of yourself. After all, boyfriends come and go, but friends are forever. Assuming you haven’t completely isolated your friends, here is a great recipe for damage control.

“Me Time”: Taking time to YOURSELF if first and foremost in everything that you do. Make sure that you are spending some quality “me-time”. Do something that you love. Your happiness should be your ultimate priority.

Girls Night Out: Doesn’t this sound pretty cliché? We agree, but trust us. You need this.

Chase: You’ve already gotten the guy. You’ve already done the work, but that doesn’t mean that the thrill of the chase is gone. Cut down the days that you’re available to him. Spend more time with your friends and family. He’ll miss you more, and it will definitely help your relationship maintain the mystery that came along in the very beginning.

This recipe isn’t very long, but it’s effective.
