Shark Tank: A Friday Primetime Treat for Entrepreneurs

Tired of all the mindless entertainment on TV? Sick of the fake drama and controversy that networks perpetuate? Well, don’t shut off your TV completely just yet. Instead, check out Shark Tank -- the reality show for entrepreneurs. (And don’t worry, it won’t involve them all living together under one roof.)

Shark Tank is a show that lets entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to 5 millionaire / billionaire investors, namely Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Robert Herjavec, and Barbara Corcoran (sometimes filled in by Lori Grenier). They are known as the “sharks” in the show. If the sharks like the idea, they can choose to invest in order to receive some equity with the company.

It’s a really good show that’s both entertaining and informative. Every entrepreneur should really take some time to watch it. For one thing, the show will inspire you. All the sharks that are part of it are self-made and built their wealth from scratch. Learn about their tales and you’ll be inspired to strive harder in your business.

Aside from the sharks though, another source of inspiration on the show would be the entrepreneurs pitching their ideas. A lot them are truly brilliant and they always have some interesting stories to tell.
